The extensive lunch menu showcases anything from exotic salads and tasty pizzas to fresh pastas and local specialities such as Caribbean Jerk chicken. Or for a special occasion why not order a picnic lunch and enjoy it in romantic seclusion on one of our Atlantic beaches? After dark, the mood becomes decidedly elegant. Most guests meet for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the intimate beachfront bar, perhaps trying a rum punch before moving through to the restaurant. Dining is by lamplight, the a la carte menu featuring a wide range of choices that fuse international tastes with fresh Caribbean ingredients. Home-made clam chowder, pan-seared fish or broiled medallions of pork, are just a few of the delights in store. The Manager’s cocktail party and weekly Caribbean buffets combine with the regular evening entertainment to create a uniquely sociable ambience. Palm Island also has a more informal beachfront restaurant, the ‘Sunset Grill’. Open to visiting yachtsmen, it offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, its tables either inside or right on the sands. In the restaurants, shoes are worn and bathing suits are covered. After 6:30 p.m., men wear shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no T-shirts or tank tops), slacks or tailored Bermuda-length shorts; women wear dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes or tailored Bermuda-length shorts (no "short shorts" or cut-offs). No jeans for men or women in the evening.
